I couldn’t recommend Dave, Kate and the whole Special Events Tipis team more wholeheartedly. They saved the day when our previous marquee company went under and we are so glad we found them – they were brilliantly can-do and made the whole process feel seamless!
From start to finish they were such a delight to work with – full of great ideas and advice and extremely responsive to emails/calls, they never made us feel like “just another client”, and they were endlessly patient with my indecisive layout changing! The set up/take down team were also brilliant – super efficient and lovely, and took real care to protect the lawn and the garden they were setting up in.
The tipis and their contents were absolutely beautiful and provided an amazing backdrop to the day.
If you’re looking for tipis for your wedding/party, we couldn’t recommend Special Events enough.

After literally years of planning and a few set backs, in August this year we finally managed to get married. After the excitement of getting engaged, we decided that we would love to have our reception on our family farm and this was something that was really important to us. We attended the tipi open day soon after and instantly fell in love with the tipis and the tipi team! We always knew the type of wedding reception that we wanted and the tipis suited us perfectly. They were a perfect layout for an indoor/outdoor feel, cosy but also spacious and they gave us the freedom to get the creativity flowing and bring all of those years of Pinterest pinning to good use.
Soon after the open day and several emails to Amy and Kate, we booked and our quote was always very clear and itemised so we knew exactly what things were costing but we also knew that we had a little bit of flexibility with the small details so nothing was ever stressful. A little help with supplier recommendations from Kate was welcome and helpful and shortly after we were all set.
Fast forward a year or so, covid hit and like many others we made the decision to postpone our special day. Kate made everything in this difficult time so easy and during each date change we felt supported and informed.
In the months leading up to our wedding everything was pretty uncertain but Kate was still at the end of the phone or email for our endless questions and queries. We attended another open day and fell in love with the tipis all over again. We chatted to Kate and Dav, even changed our tipi structure plans completely and again this wasn’t a problem.
The week of our wedding came round quickly and Ian and the tipi team arrived on one of the hottest days of the year and made it all look very easy. It must have been such hard work but they always had a smile on their face and made sure our tipi was in the best place for our views. On the day the tipis did not disappoint and were even better than we could have ever imagined.
We are so happy we picked you for our special day, we would recommend you over and over again! Friendly, supportive and professional service and above all allowed us to make our special day unique and personal to us. Thank you so much.
