Having been to many events and seeing Special Events Tipis’ tents, there was no doubt in our minds who we would choose for our own wedding. From the day we booked, everything was amazing, communication was brilliant and informative, making it so easy and taking stress away when planning a wedding, all our guests said how beautiful the tipis were and we couldn’t agree more, thank you so much!

Thank you Special Event Tipis and Marquees – our sailcloth marquee was just fabulous – we’ve had so many lovely comments about how pretty it looked on the day and so many of our guests said it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to! It was just the best party and we’re still on a high about it now. From our initial enquiries right through to the big day, you were all so helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, professional and patient, especially with our many questions! You really helped guide us through the daunting process of planning a marquee wedding. We had to have a change of venue and you were very accommodating about this too. You were very responsive throughout and all in all a great company to deal with.

We used Special Event Tipis for our big day, it was the most amazing venue totally personalised for us and exactly what we wanted.
The weather can change quickly in the Lake District and special event tipis were on hand to change our layout last minute when the weather decided to change its mind, I was so grateful for this and the quick set up by the professional team meant we had more time than we had initially planned to get our decorations in order.
We 1000% made the right decision to have a tipi wedding and this company met all of our requirements. The fact that the venue was made for us in our chosen location and enjoyed for a full weekend with our post wedding BBQ made it not just a day to remember, but a whole weekend full of amazing memories!
Thank you to Kate for being available throughout the full 12 months, from meeting you at your open day, right through to our wedding date, for answering all of my text & call queries without hesitation. Thank you to Dave & the team for the quick & efficient set up and last minute changes that you were happy to come back to the site to alter for us, to ensure we had the best weekend possible in the typical British summer weather. It really was so special and we wouldn’t change a thing!

Words can’t describe how happy we were with everything you, Dav, and your staff done for us in the weeks/days leading up to the big day.
The Main Tipi was stunning. All the guests loved it and couldn’t speak highly enough of it. It was perfect.
Your communication has been fantastic. All the emails, all the times you had to change the quotes and re-send it straight away etc… It’s all very much appreciated and noticed.
Also Dav, for the way he got the ceremony tipi sorted so quickly when we needed it because of the rain! He also threw in some extras in the main tipi which was very kind.
I’m sure you’ll pass on our thanks to him.

When planning our Wedding Day, both of us agreed straight away that we wanted Tipi’s. Special Event Tipi’s were recommended to us by the venue we were using for the reception. We went to an open day near Carlisle, shortly after we got engaged to see the Tipi’s and were absolutely blown away by what we saw, our hearts were set, and minds were made up. Kate and Dave were both there on the open day and extremely helpful, showing us around the structures and going through all the different features and furniture they have to put in them. One feature, was the clear panel sides, due to the back drop of our wedding, we thought that the clear panels were a must have feature for our guests to take in the magnificent view. However, due to the wedding being such a long time from the open day, and not knowing what the weather would be like on the Wedding Day, we were apprehensive to commit to putting them on our order form. Kate, instantly made us feel at ease and let us decide the week before the wedding whether we required them or not, this was also the case for the fire pit. We paid a deposit soon after the open day and kept in touch with Kate leading up to the wedding, Kate was always happy to help and answer any questions which we had. We had agreed a set up day of the Wednesday before the wedding (the wedding on Saturday) a team of around 8-10 people came, they were all very polite and helpful, a shout out has to go to the lads who put the Tipi’s up, the temperature was scorching, but they put an almighty shift in and in just 8 hours the Tipi’s were up. Having 2 clear days before the wedding gave us plenty of time to dress them and make them as we wanted for our big day. At the end of the set-up day, Dave showed us around the tipis, explained the electrics and how to use the lights. The tipi’s came down on the Monday after wedding, in just as efficient manner as they went up. As we have mentioned both Kate and Dave were brilliant throughout the whole process, if you are looking for something quirky, that isn’t a marquee, but a structure that is simply magical, then we cannot recommend Special Event Tipis enough.
