Special Event Tipis was established in 2011 after our own tipi wedding. We wanted to create an intimate atmosphere with a real sense of occasion, a setting that felt both relaxed and unforgettable.

The tipis proved to be the perfect solution, providing a flexible and unique outdoor venue for our wedding. Since then, we have helped more than 1,700 couples, families and businesses create their own memorable events across Northern England and Scotland.

As our business grew, we introduced luxury sailcloth marquees alongside our Nordic tipis, allowing us to offer even more choice for weddings, celebrations and corporate events.

Today we provide tipi and sailcloth marquee hire, along with furniture, lighting and styling to create welcoming and beautifully designed spaces for weddings, events and celebrations. We also offer stretch tents as versatile outdoor canopies for ceremonies, drinks receptions and additional covered areas.

We provide tipi and sailcloth marquee hire for events of all sizes, from intimate gatherings to large festivals and corporate events.

Our structures are installed across venues in the Lake District, Cumbria, Northumberland, Lancashire, North Yorkshire and Scotland, helping create memorable outdoor events throughout the year.

We also supply tents for bars, restaurants, schools and seasonal events.

David and our experienced crew are used to working in a wide variety of locations and weather conditions, installing tipis and sailcloth marquees at venues across Northern England and Scotland.

We provide everything needed to ensure your event runs smoothly, including heating, hard flooring, entrances, walkways and clear panels for winter events.

We can also help arrange toilets, generators and other event services through trusted suppliers. If required, we can provide on-site support during your event, helping ensure everything runs smoothly from the arrival of your guests through to the evening celebration.
