We have a 100% track record of successfully delivering events and over the years have overcame many challenges from the COVID 19 pandemic to tricky sites, complicated builds, constrictive time restraints and the unpredictable British weather…

For example, we had structures up near Edinburgh as storm Arwen landed. David spent 36 hours on site, checking the tipis every 15 minutes throughout Friday night to ensure our structures stayed safe in huge winds. His knowledge and experience of managing the structures in exceptional weather paid off and Saturdays’ wedding went ahead as planned!

On top of this, we are an independent and financially secure business, we own all of our our stock and do not rely on external funding or loans at all.

Special Event Tipis is a family business, ran from the family home. Kate manages our events and personally deals with our clients and their event plans; whereas David leads our experienced installation crew – many of whom have been with us for years.

4.  Our 24-hour call-out service

The nature of outdoor events means we need to be prepared for all eventualities.  We offer a 24-hour call-out service with spare crew, vehicles, and equipment ready to go at the drop of a hat.

We can organise loos, generators, showers, fridge trailers and we stock our own heaters, hard flooring and clear sides, all of which, can be added into your quote even at the very last minute to help ensure that your event goes perfectly whatever the weather or time of year!

Our team are super efficient and over the years we’ve refined our techniques to the highest standards. We can advise you on the best pitch for your tipi, the best openings and set up to suit the weather and of course the best internal floor plans to suit your individual event.

Your tipi floor plan is so much more than being able to physically fit tables into a space.  Nobody wants their guests to feel hemmed in and for a successful event, practical elements must also be considered. How will your caterers access your tables? Where will guests mingle? Is there enough head room behind your bar for service? Can your top table see all the guests? We can help with all these considerations and more by being able to confidently say what does and does not work inside our tipi tents.
