One of the most common questions we are asked is ‘are the tipis are dark?’. Over the past 10 years we have developed a full range of equipment and gorgeous accessories to make sure that the tipis are as light and bright as your personal outdoor wedding plans would like them to be!

Whilst we can pin down the sides to create a cosy, intimate atmosphere, one of the Tipis greatest assets is their flexible nature and unique ability to raise the sides and let the outside in whatever the weather! We stock absolutely everything needed to ensure natural light and beautiful views throughout the year…

Oak doors give the double whammy of offering a gorgeous focal point for your wedding day entrance that can be opened or closed to suit the unpredictable British weather. With the additional benefit of a clear side on either side, our oak doors also let natural light into the tipis. They create 28% extra floor space in the structure they are installed in and so they give plenty of room for table plans, welcome drinks, floral displays and chill out furniture.

Clear end panel; again creating 28% more floor space for the tipi they are installed in. Clear end panels make the most of a view or bring natural light into an area. They are a great way to create extra space for your outdoor wedding venue in Cumbria, the Lake District, Northumberland, Lancashire or Scotland without necessarily the need for an extra structure. For example, as a bar area, food service area or to create that little bit of extra room for additional seating without the need for an extra tipi.

Clear mid fill panel – A central raise between 2 tipi structures can be filled with our clear mid fill panels. These are great at keeping inclement weather out and warmth in whatever the time of year!

Clear Tipi tops – appreciate a beautiful sunny sky or starry sky with our clear tipi tops – unique to Special Event Tipis, our clear tipi tops create a light tunnel effect within our tipi marquee structures.

Clear walls – Similar to the effect you would usually see in a sailcloth marquee, our clear walls are a mixture of our clear mid fill and end panels. Our clear walls are hugely popular as they give ultimate views for your outside wedding venue whilst keeping everything weather proof on the inside! They are the ultimate accessory for outdoor weddings and events!

Lighting is so important to create the right, look and mood for your unique wedding or event.

Our halo festoon package is our simplest but most popular lighting package giving off a classic, soft warm white light that runs around the horizontal poles of the tipis. The halo festoon package suits a wide range of outdoor event styles from black tie dinners to garden celebrations and festival wedding parties!

Our zig zag festoon package crosses the peaks of the tipis in a similar way to bunting creating a fun, informal, Boho look and finally our LED lighting packages include 3 sets of LED Parcan uplighters and downlighters per tipi. There are a choice of colours for the uplighters and the lighting can be zoned so that you can have different levels and colours of lighting in different areas of the tipis. There is also a dimmer switch, meaning you can set the lighting to the best level for your outdoor event. The LED packages include are perfect in the dance floor area and they look amazing at night, when the tipi peaks can be set to shine in whatever colour you would like!
