Spring Tipi and Marquee Wedding Showcase in the Lake District

Last month, we were delighted to welcome couples, clients, and industry friends to our Spring Showcase at Low House in Armathwaite, showcasing our tipi and sailcloth marquee weddings across the Lake District, Northumberland and Scotland. It was a beautiful celebration of colour, creativity, and everything we love about outdoor events.

Set against the stunning Cumbrian countryside, the showcase brought together some of our favourite structures, all thoughtfully styled to inspire those planning weddings and special events for the seasons ahead.

A Space to Inspire

For this showcase, we created an immersive setting featuring one of our 14m x 26m sailcloth marquees, alongside two Giant Hat Tipis, a 10m x 10m sailcloth marquee, and our versatile Nimbus Tipi.

The sailcloth marquees offered that signature light and airy feel they are known for, filled with natural daylight and framing the surrounding views, making them a popular choice for marquee weddings in the Lake District and beyond. They provided a beautifully neutral backdrop that allowed every detail of the styling to stand out.

In contrast, the tipis brought warmth, texture, and atmosphere. With their natural wooden poles and canvas structure, they created inviting and characterful spaces that worked perfectly for dining, relaxing, and evening celebrations.

Together, the combination of structures showed how easily different spaces can flow into one another, creating areas for drinks, dining, and socialising.

Styling and Details

We were thrilled to collaborate with a fantastic team of suppliers who brought the entire space to life.

Inside the sailcloth marquee, guests were welcomed by beautifully styled tablescapes featuring soft linens, delicate stationery, and warm amber glassware from Tebbey & Co. Long banquet tables created a sociable feel, while round tables offered a more classic and intimate setting, showing how flexible tipi and marquee weddings can be when designing your layout.

Within the tipis, the styling took on a more relaxed and organic feel. Wooden tables, carefully chosen décor, and a more rustic vibe, created inviting spaces for guests to gather and enjoy the atmosphere, perfect for relaxed outdoor weddings and events.

Throughout the showcase, it was the smaller touches that completed the look. Thoughtful stationery from Take Note Calligraphy added character to each place setting, while candlelight and glassware brought warmth across the tables. Natural materials such as wood and canvas paired beautifully with the overall styling to create a look that felt both relaxed and refined.

Different areas were styled with purpose, from a more formal dining setup in the marquee to laid back seating and bar spaces within the tipis, allowing the day to flow naturally from one space to another.

No showcase would be complete without cake. Wren Cake Design created a beautifully intricate iced cake that fitted seamlessly into the styling, adding an elegant focal point to the space.

To complete the experience, Classic Chambers provided luxury loos, ensuring our Open Day guests had the same level of comfort and quality throughout every part of their visit to our event.

Florals Full of Spring Colour

Florals played a key role in bringing the showcase together.

Kevin from Brackens of Bowness created an abundance of vibrant seasonal arrangements, combining bold pinks, corals, oranges, and softer pastel tones. From striking centrepieces to delicate table accents, each piece added texture and personality to the space.

Aerial floral installations within the sailcloth marquee created a real sense of impact, drawing the eye upward and making full use of the height. These hanging arrangements formed a soft canopy of colour that complemented the light filled setting beautifully.

Across both the marquees and tipis, a mix of statement arrangements and smaller bud vases helped create balance. Whether it was a bold focal arrangement or a simple cluster of stems, the florals felt fresh, joyful, and full of life, bringing colour and texture to both tipi and marquee wedding settings.

Capturing the Day

A huge thank you to Jenny Jones Photography for capturing the showcase so beautifully. From wide shots of the structures in the landscape to close up details of florals and table settings, the images tell the story of the day perfectly
