Against the breathtaking backdrop of Portinscale, just outside Keswick, one of our tipi wedding couples exchanged vows in an unforgettable outdoor ceremony. Their idyllic rural, field setting overlooked the charming town of Keswick Cumbria, with sweeping views of Bassenthwaite and Derwent Water. while the venue itself was beautifully framed by the majestic Coledale Horseshoe mountains a favourite route for those ticking off some Wainwright peaks on fell walks. A veil of mist softened the rugged peaks of Beaberry Fell, creating a dreamlike atmosphere.
The bridal party made a grand entrance, arriving in a stunning white carriage drawn by two magnificent black Friesian horses from The Friesian Experience in Cartmel, Cumbria—a truly fairytale moment. With nature as their cathedral, their tipi celebration embraced the romance and magic of the Lake District, an experience as timeless as the landscape itself.
Borrowdale Valley Wedding for Ruby & Dan
Ruby and Dan’s tipi wedding in Borrowdale Valley was nothing short of magical, set in a stunning Lake District field bursting with buttercups and wildflowers. The romance of the day unfolded beneath a twinkling fairy light canopy in a charming wedding barn, where guests gathered on rustic haybale seating for an intimate ceremony. As confetti showered them in the Keswick farmyard, the newlyweds made a picture-perfect exit, traveling to their three giant hat tipis by horse and cart. With horses at the heart of their celebration and nature providing the ultimate backdrop, their wedding was a breathtaking tribute to love, adventure, and the beauty of the Lake District.
Leah & Alex’s Beautiful Bassenthwaite Wedding
Leah and Alex’s tipi wedding at Bassenthwaite, not too far from Keswick, was a breathtaking celebration of love, set against the rolling fells of the Lake District. Their day began with a beautiful ceremony in a stunning traditional church, where vows were exchanged in an atmosphere of timeless elegance. Following this, the couple and their guests gathered in a picturesque open field, where the beauty of spring unfolded around them. Four giant hat tipis, complete with full clear panels, allowed the spectacular views to take centre stage, while an attached Kung tipi housed a full round bar, adding to the rustic charm of the occasion.
