A Magical End-of-Season Sailcloth Marquee Celebration at Lilymere Estate

What an incredible weekend we’ve just had! Our team at Special Event Tipis and Marquees hosted an unforgettable day at the stunning Lilymere Estate, a secluded woodland haven overlooking a private, lilypad-covered lake. It was the perfect setting for a day that combined creativity, collaboration, and celebration.

We began with a beautifully styled shoot, followed by a “sneaky peek” sailcloth marquee open day, and finished with a fabulous end-of-season suppliers party that brought together some of the most talented people in the wedding and events industry.

New Furnishings for 2026

We were so excited to showcase our new range of cream lounge furniture, which went down an absolute treat! Featuring a two-seater sofa, two elegant cream armchairs, and an oval coffee table, this setup offers the ideal space for guests to relax after dinner, or recharge before hitting the dance floor. The soft neutral tones looked incredible against the linen textures, wicker accents, and lush floral arrangements, effortlessly blending comfort and sophistication.

We also debuted our super stylish (and super comfortable!) Louis Chairs, now available to book for 2026 events. Their classic shape and natural wood finish added timeless elegance to the tablescapes, pairing beautifully with the soft blue and ivory palette.

And for couples wanting to create something truly unique, our new serpentine tables were a showstopper. Their elegant curves make them perfect for creating a sweeping top table design, a romantic sweetheart setup, or a creative buffet or dessert display. They’re a fantastic way to add interest and movement to your marquee layout.

Delicious Food & Drinks

We were thrilled to co-host with Charlotte from Karen Rhodes Catering, who kept everyone fuelled throughout the day with an incredible array of delicious food offerings. From delicate canapés to hearty bites, every dish was full of flavour and flair, exactly what you’d expect from the amazing Karen Rhodes team.

Of course, no open day or party is complete without a little fizz! Tom from Kindred Spirits joined us behind our brand-new, oval bar, mixing up the most delicious cocktails and pouring prosecco for our guests. The bar itself was a total showstopper, styled with elegant cream furnishings and a stunning floral installation featuring tumbling greenery, hydrangeas, delphiniums, and pops of yellow orchids. It perfectly complemented the natural light and soft tones of our sailcloth marquee, creating the ultimate summer bar scene.

Styling, Florals & Finishing Touches

The gorgeous Chatsworth Linen tablecloths from Chateaux Noir added an elegant finishing touch, with their soft, tactile fabric and delicate patterning. Available in a range of colours, they’re a beautiful way to tie your design together.

The florals by Kevin from Brackens of Bowness were nothing short of breath taking. Think wild, garden-inspired arrangements bursting with texture, delicate blue delphiniums, lush hydrangeas, soft ivory blooms, and hints of seasonal fruit like grapes and pears for that luxurious, natural feel. The floral styling perfectly complemented the space, from the table centrepieces to the dramatic overhead installations.

The tabletop styling, glassware and crockery by Emma Tebbey Events completed the look with effortless style alongside the beautifully crafted wedding stationary by Take Note Calligraphy. Layered linens, elegant glassware, and candles in muted tones created a romantic, timeless tablescape that fit Kate’s vision perfectly, organic, elegant, and beautifully cohesive.

Capturing the Magic

A huge thank you also goes to Jenny Jones Photography, who captured every moment from the styled shoot right through to the evening celebrations. If you have not already booked a photographer, Jenny’s natural, timeless style fits perfectly with our sailcloth marquees and tipis and she would love to hear from you!  We’ve used her for our open days the last 14 years and she recently captured Charlotte’s gorgeous wedding in the South of France!

If you’re still looking for a photographer, we couldn’t recommend Jenny enough. She has an incredible eye for detail and a relaxed approach that makes everyone feel at ease in front of the camera.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at Lilymere Estate and helped make this day so special. It was the perfect way to round off another amazing season — surrounded by inspiring suppliers, stunning setups, and lots of laughter.
